The ADV-E 8.6 is the electric entry alternative to Boardman's award-winning ADV drop bar adventure range. The ADV-E 8.6 allows you to set your sights higher than ever, tackling forest tracks and moorland trails that may have previously felt out of reach.
It features a Hyena/Kynamic rear hub motor, delivering 40Nm of torque, along with a 252Wh battery neatly integrated into the frame. This design offers a clean and discreet aesthetic.
The 8.6 is equipped with three levels of power assist, enabling you to balance your own effort with the support of the motor.

Wheels & Tyres
The ADV-E 8.6 comes equipped with Goodyear 40mm gravel-specific Connector tyres, universally recognised for their exceptional performance and durability.
The Connector has a versatile tread pattern featuring tightly spaced centre knobs combined with aggressive side knobs. This combination offers the perfect balance of grip and speed, especially in loose conditions, making it the ideal choice for adventure and gravel riding.
Range
All electric bikes specify a maximum mileage range achievable on a single battery charge. This represents the furthest distance under optimal conditions; however, several factors can influence this range:
- The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
- The assistance mode selected.
- The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
- Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
- Tyre pressure.
- Wind speed and direction.
