Want to enjoy a commute with added assistance? Or simply want an added boost to help you tackle local hills? No problem!
With the Carrera impel im-3, you can take the strain out of your regular commute or weekend outing. On a single charge, the 496Wh battery provides up to 75 miles* of assisted riding and the Hyena rear hub motor can assist you up to speeds of 15.5mph.
USB charging through the LCD display allows you to use the bike’s battery to keep other devices charged such as your smartphone.
On and off-road performance
From smooth city tarmac to leisurely rides along scenic canal paths, if you’re looking for a solid bike that can handle roads and off-road paths alike, the Carrera impel im-3 is the perfect option!
Whether commuting or cruising around town, the robust and lightweight aluminium frame provides a comfortable and smooth ride. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic disc brakes which are now used on most premium bikes thanks to their superior performance in all conditions.
Helping the bike excel on rougher off-road paths, the bike also benefits from wide tyres with safety reflective walls and double-walled rims for added puncture protection – so there’s less chance of your ride being cut short by a pesky puncture!

Whether you’re halfway up your local climb or midway through your commute to work, you want to know that the battery and motor will keep providing the assistance you need – and the impel im-3 won’t let you down!
With an impressive 496Wh capacity, the battery will power your ride for up to 75 miles, more than enough for the average commute.* It’s also fully integrated into the frame, creating a sleek look and resulting in better weight distribution. Then, at the simple turn of a key, you can remove the battery and charge it away from the bike between rides.
Supporting the battery is the Hyena rear hub motor which provides improved traction and handling. Combined with the 10-speed cassette, you’ll have enough gears and assistance for the steepest of hills.
Boasting an impressive 45NM of torque, the motor also has an in-built torque sensor that automatically starts providing assistance as soon as you start pedalling and will adjust the assistance in response to your input, providing a natural ride feel.
*The maximum range will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.
LCD display
Controlling the level of assistance and tracking your ride couldn’t be easier through the LCD display.
Allowing you to choose between 3 assist modes and a walk mode, you’ll always receive the level of assistance you need.
The display also provides key information like speed and battery level and, when connected to the Hyena Rider Assistant app via Bluetooth, you can unlock additional features including metrics, battery charge and health status and details for any error codes.
Multi-functional smartphone app
Want to track your ride statistics? Now you can through the Hyena Rider Assistant app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
