Most sizes of this bike are suitable for a rear mounted child seat, unfortunately depending on your preferred saddle height the small & medium versions may not be compatible - in these instances you could opt for a pannier rack and pannier mounted child seat.

More About The All-New Carrera Parva Hybrid Bike
Extra comfortCustomers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial aspect of their riding experience. Recognising this we’ve equipped the Parva with memory foam saddles helping you spend even more time comfortably on your rides. Often overlooked but an important contact point when you’re riding, the Parva is equipped with soft rubber, ergonomically designed handlebar grips for additional comfort.
Additional peace of mind. And grip.
To give you even more riding time and not have you standing idle we’re also giving you more peace of mind by fitting ‘Carrera Puncture Protection’ tyres as standard which include an additional layer of puncture resistant material running around the tyre which will help reduce the incidence of punctures.
Efficient modern gears
To enhance the riding experience, we have also upgraded the drivetrain on the new Parva, moving from a triple chainset to a 2x (2 by). One less cog at the front means less weight and less maintenance but also makes changing gears more intuitive as fewer choices help you get the one you want quicker.
And, don’t worry about the range of gears. The Parva now comes with a bigger 7-speed cassette at the back wheel so you’ve still got those important choices at the top and bottom end of the range. Sometimes, less is definitely more!
Lightweight, easy-handling frame
Weighing in at just 13.5kg, the Carrera Parva’s lightweight aluminium frame does a great job of keeping the bike’s overall weight down, helping you to cycle further for longer. We’ve made the bike slightly higher at the front end, giving a more upright and comfortable riding position. Most people find this position and the flat handlebars a great combination for maintaining great visibility of the road ahead.

A Mudguard Set is a great option for helping to keep some of the mud and water away from your bike and clothes.

Maintain your Carrera Parva
If you plan on using your Carrera Parva regularly, then we’d recommend our CycleCare services to make sure your new bike stays in top shape. Just like the annual service you’d get done on your car, we’ll check your bike’s components depending on the service you choose, then make any repairs and make sure your bike is safe to ride.

Click & Collect
Our Click & Collect service means you can order an item online for collection in any of our Stores and choose a day that suits you to collect your order.
What is our Fastrack Service?
At many of our stores, there will be a Fastrack queuing point available. This is for the following:
- Any prepaid click and collect orders to be picked up on your chosen collection day.
- Any of our prepaid services, including our free car and bike checks.
- Bike collection during your chosen collection day and time.
We are committed to our safety policies and we are unable to offer Fastrack queues at those stores where outside space does not allow for it to be done safely. In this instance, please make yourself known to the Halfords colleague at the front of the store.

If you have ordered a built bike you will have been asked to book a collection day and time to safely collect your bike. Once you have chosen a slot, this date and time is unable to be amended.
