COVID-19 FAQs
Based on the government advice we have reviewed our shops to ensure we are able to offer essential services across the country in a way that is safe for our colleagues and our customers.
The majority of our shops are open. While our shops are open, we’re fundamentally changing the way our stores operate. To keep our colleagues and customers safe, we are offering a “Drive in, fit and repair” proposition for essential motoring and cycling services alongside a “Drive in pick or collect point for products” all within social distancing rules.
To see opening hours of shops near you please see our website – these stores may change over time as we are committed to only operating where it is safe for colleagues and customers.
It goes without saying that we are taking care to ensure that vulnerable colleagues who should not be working at the present time are able to stay at home.
We are taking a number of steps to protect our customers and colleagues in our shops, including:
- We’re changing the way our stores operate. To keep our colleagues and customers safe, we will be offering a “Drive in, fit and repair” proposition for essential motoring and cycling services alongside a “Drive in pick or collect point for products”.
- We will no longer be giving paper receipts, all receipts will be sent via email unless the customer specifically asks for a paper receipt.
- We won’t ask customers to sign paperwork.
- We’ll be enforcing a strict two metre rule
- We’ll ensure that our colleagues have the cleaning materials (e.g. hand sanitiser) to support hygiene guidelines.
We will continue to follow the government advice and review how we are serving customers across all our channels to ensure that we are doing what is right for customers and colleagues. At the moment the length of these changes is unknown – the halfords.ie website will show latest opening hours for all shops.
There are a number of ways you will be able to use our services or buy our products:
Products:
- You can order online on halfords.ie 24/7 and Click & Collect in your local store
- You can visit a local store and ask the colleague to direct you to the product you are looking for.
