Terms and Conditions for Halfords Motoring Club 10 Point Car Check Fuel Card Prize Draw Promotion (the “Promotion”)

The Promotion is in collaboration with Sodexo and will offer Halfords Motoring Club Members, the opportunity to ‘win a tank of fuel’ (in the form of a pre-paid fuel gift card). All Free and Premium Members who book a 10 Point Car Check (the “10 Point Check”) (with their local store or garage) to take place within the Promotion Period (as defined below), will be eligible to be entered into the prize draw (the “Prize Draw”), where the winners will receive one (1) of ten (10) pre-loaded £100 fuel gift cards (the “Prize”).

CONDITIONS:

  1. The Promotion is open to Halfords new and existing Free and Premium Motoring Club Members customers aged 18 or over (the “Members"), who are resident in the United Kingdom (excludes ROI), including employees, and their immediate families, of Halfords Limited, their associated companies, agents, agencies, and anyone else professionally connected to the Promotion.
  2. The Promotion will start at 00:01 on Tuesday 10 October 2023 and the closing time and date for the Promotion is 23:59pm on Thursday 9 November 2023 (the “Promotion Period”). No entries will be accepted after the Promotion Period has expired.
  3. The Promotion is organised by Halfords Limited of Icknield Street Drive, Washford West, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 0DE, company number 103161 (“Halfords”) in conjunction with Sodexo Motivation Solutions U.K. Limited of One, Southampton Row, London, WC1B 5HA, company number 02680629 (“Sodexo”).
  4. Proof of eligibility must be provided upon request. By taking part in the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, the Halfords UGC Privacy Policy (available here: UGC Privacy Policy | Halfords UK ) and by the decision of Halfords in relation to all matters relating to the Promotion, whose decision shall be final.
  5. The Promotion is free to enter for Members who have not already used the 10 Point Check included with Motoring Club membership, but Members who have already used the included 10 Point Check, will be required to pay the fee of £15 for the 10 Point Check to enter this Promotion. Members will only be entered into the Prize Draw if they have booked a 10 Point Check with their local store or garage to take place during the Promotion Period to have the chance to win the Prize.
  6. The Promotion is only open to customers who are Members.
  7. Halfords will randomly select ten (10) winners (the “Winner(s)”) at the end of the Promotion Period from all eligible participants. The Prize is a pre-loaded fuel gift card, worth £100. There will be a total of ten (10) identical Prizes.
  8. Winners will be notified that they have won by Halfords initially by email and then by telephone, within seven (7) days of the Promotion ending. Upon receiving notification that they are a Winner, the Winner(s) details will then be sent to Sodexo, who will send the Prize to the Winner by post. Please allow ten (10) days after notification of winning for the Prize to be sent to you.

  10. No cash alternative will be offered.
  11. The Prize will automatically expire twelve (12) months after the card has been issued.
  12. To obtain the names and counties of the Winners, please send a SAE to Halfords.
  13. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used wholly in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. In particular, personal data will be used solely to administer the Promotion and in accordance with the terms of the Halfords Motoring Club, unless consent is provided otherwise. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by following the instructions in any marketing we send you.
  14. Halfords reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Promotion and/or revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the Promotion subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, Members shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
  15. Any expenses incurred by the Winners in the general use and/or enjoyment of the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Neither Halfords nor agencies involved in this Promotion may be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to the Promotion. Halfords cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant entering the Promotion or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude Halfords’ liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  16. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  17. The terms and conditions for this Promotion are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
