How Can I Enter?

Terms and Conditions: Halfords Motoring Club Win 1 of 3 Car Detailing Treatments by the Car Gods Team (the “Competition”)  

The Competition is in collaboration with Car Gods and is an exclusive offer to Halfords Motoring Club Members (“Members”) for the opportunity to win one (1) of three (3) car detailing treatments for their car, carried out by the Car Gods mobile detailing team (the “Prize”).

CONDITIONS:

  1. The Competition is only open to existing Members aged 18 or over, who are resident in the United Kingdom (excludes ROI), including employees, and their immediate families, of Halfords Limited, their associated companies, agents, agencies, and anyone else professional connected to the Competition.
  2. The Competition is open from receipt of an email on 10th October 2023 at 4pm – 18th October at 12am (the “Competition Period”). Emails allowing Members to enter the Competition will be sent out from 4pm on 10th October 2023 but may take approximately three (3) hours to reach all recipients. No entries will be accepted after the end date outlined above.
  3. The Competition is organised by Halfords Limited of Icknield Street Drive, Washford West, Redditch, Worcestershire, B98 0DE, company number 103161 (“Halfords”) in conjunction with Car Gods, Tetrosyl Limited, Newgate House, Newgate, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL16 1AT, company number 00537855.
  4. By taking part in the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, the Privacy Notice | Halfords UK ] and by the decision of Halfords in relation to all matters relating to the Competition, whose decision shall be final. 
  5. The Competition is free to enter, Members will be eligible to be enter when they receive an email with the competition link (the “Competition Link”), they will need to select the Competition Link, complete the entry form including all mandatory fields, and then press submit to enter the Competition. Entries will only be valid if entered via this means and no purchase is necessary.
  6. The Competition is open to all Halfords Motoring Club Members.
  7. All entries must be received by Halfords by way of compliance with clause 5 above and within the Competition Period. Incomplete, illegal, late or incorrect entries will not be accepted. Halfords takes no responsibility for entries which are delayed, incomplete or lost.
  8. Halfords will randomly select three (3) winners (the “Winner(s)”) at the end of the Competition Period from all eligible entrants. The Prize is a car detailing treatment worth up to £490 from the Car Gods mobile detailing team, at a location convenient to them, the Prize includes: Full Valet (worth up to £120 depending on the size of car) with snow foam prewash, wheel faces and barrels cleaned, two (2) bucket method safe contact wash, gloss enhancing rinse aid, towel dry, door shuts cleaned, tyres cleaned and dressed, interior vacuumed, cleaned and dressed, upholstery shampoo, windows cleaned and air freshener.
    Day Enhancement (worth up to £350 depending on the size of car) with tar removal, chemical decontamination, clay bar, single stage gloss enhancing machine polish and protected with Holy Water. The winner(s) will also receive a bottle of Holy Water (Retail value £19.99) to keep, following completion of the car detailing session.
  9. The Winner(s) will be notified that they have won by email from Halfords, within three (3) days of being drawn. Upon receiving notification that they are a Winner, the Winner(s) details will be sent to Car Gods, who will contact the Winner to arrange the Prize to be carried out within an agreed reasonable time period. If no contact can be made with the selected Winner(s) within a further three (3) days from being notified by email, then the Prize will be forfeited and a new Winner will be selected.
  10. The Car Gods mobile detailing team are fully insured, including public liability cover, to work on and move any vehicle booked in to be detailed.
  11. The Prize is only valid for cars and light non-commercial vans, not other vehicle types can be accommodated and these vehicle types will be excluded from winning.
  12. No cash alternative will be offered.
  13. Halfords reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. Halfords may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and the Prize may be withheld unless and until Halfords is satisfied with the verification. Halfords reserves the right to disqualify entrants from the Competition if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the competitive process or spirit of the Competition.
  14. The Winner agrees to participate in publicity resulting from the Competition if requested to do so by Halfords and Halfords reserves the right to use the details of the winner in any publicity. Following the Competition, details of the Winner may be published on Halfords’ social media channels, including pages relating to Halfords. You represent and warrant that you either own or have the necessary licenses in all content that you provide to us, and that Halfords is able to use and publish such content.
  15. The Winner consents to Halfords and Car Gods producing photography and video content for use on their Social Media Channels.
  16. To obtain the name and county of the Winner, please send a SAE to Halfords.
  17. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used wholly in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. In particular, personal data will be used solely to administer the Competition and in accordance with the terms of the Halfords Motoring Club, unless consent is provided otherwise. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by following the instructions in any marketing we sent you.
  18. Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the awarding of the Prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Halfords and accordingly Halfords may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the Competition and the entrants agree that no liability shall attach to Halfords as a result thereof. Any such variation or amendment will be notified at the point of entry for the Competition.
  19. Any expenses incurred by the Winner in the general use and/or enjoyment of the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Neither Halfords nor agencies involved in this Competition may be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to the Competition. Halfords cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude Halfords’ liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  20. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  21. The terms and conditions for this Competition are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
