Klarna Bank AB is a Swedish bank that provides online financial services. Over 60 million consumers worldwide have trusted Klarna to securely handle their payments.
Klarna is regulated by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (SFSA), since Klarna has its banking license in Sweden. However, Klarna is also required to comply with a number of relevant Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) rules in the UK under the FCA’s temporary permissions regime.
Your eligibility for finance from Klarna will be subject to your individual circumstances. However, you will need to:
- be 18 years or older;
- have a valid mobile telephone number and email address;
- have a UK home address; and
- have a credit/debit card that will be valid for 60 days after placing your order.
If you choose the Pay in 3 interest free option, Klarna will only conduct a soft-search assessment that will not affect your credit rating. However, Klarna will conduct a full credit check if you apply for 6, 12, 24, 36 or 48 months finance.
Spreading the cost over 3 instalments allows you to divide the cost of your purchase over 3 equal payments with no interest. These payments are automatically collected from the debit or credit card you enter at checkout whether instore or online. The first instalment will be collected when your order is confirmed, and the second and third instalments are then scheduled for 30 and 60 days later. It is important when you apply that your credit/debit card will be valid for at least 60 days thereafter to avoid any issues with payment.
If Klarna is unable to collect your payment on the scheduled due date, Klarna will make one more attempt to automatically collect payment two days later. If this second payment attempt fails, Klarna will issue you with a statement for the full outstanding order amount, which will become payable 15 days later. Klarna will notify you when a payment is due two days ahead of attempting to collect your payment.
Once your Klarna account is set up, you will receive emailed monthly statements. You are responsible for making the agreed repayments on time and in full. You can choose to make a manual payment each month or set up automated direct debit payments via your online Klarna account or the Klarna app.
Go to www.klarna.com and log in to access your Klarna account, or if you have any questions regarding your account, contact Klarna customer support team on 0808 189 3333.
If you miss a payment or don’t pay in full, Klarna will charge £12 each missed payment.
Yes. In order to validate your identity, Klarna reserves the right to ask you a number of questions about your personal circumstances. These questions are nothing to worry about -they are simply an added level of security to protect you from identity theft. You can also be assured that Halfords will not have access to this information.
Once Klarna receives confirmation from Halfords that your purchased goods have been dispatched/received, Klarna will start your Credit Agreement and send you a welcome letter, including your payment schedule by email. The email will be sent to the address you provide when you applied for credit.
If you haven’t received an email within 10 days of receiving your goods, please check your ‘junk’ email box. If you still cannot find the documents, please contact Klarna’s Customer Service team on 0808 189 3333 so that they can check they have the right contact details for you.
Once we have processed your cancellation or return, Klarna will process a refund in five to seven working days. In the case of a return or cancellation of an order where you have not yet paid, no refund will be made.
If your goods have not been received, contact Halfords to check your order and delivery status. You can also contact Klarna’s Customer Service team on 0808 189 3333 so that they can postpone the due date of your payment.
If you have returned your items and not received your refund please contact Klarna’s Customer Service team on 0808 189 3333 who will be able to help.

To assess your eligibility for using Trade Credit powered by Kriya, a soft credit search is performed against your business, or if you’re a sole trader or partnership – you as an individual. A soft credit check will not impact your credit rating.
If you are eligible, the first time you make a purchase with Trade Credit powered by Kriya, a hard search will be made. This will only happen the first time you use the service. This search will appear on your credit report. Multiple hard searches in a short period of time may affect your credit score.
Kriya offers their services to limited companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships, government entities and sole traders. To be considered, your business must have been trading for a minimum of three months.
Using Trade Credit powered by Kriya is free. There are no transaction fees and no interest charged.
However, if you are overdue in paying your invoice (at the end of the following month) you may be subject to a late payment charge. Late payments can negatively impact your Trade Credit powered by Kriya spending limit.
Halfords have partnered with Kriya to provide business customers with a spending limit and flexible payment options that can be used online, in-store, and for wholesale orders.
The way this works is that the cost of your order is covered upfront by Kriya, and you have until the end of the following month to repay the balance.
Kriya has provided a bank account in Halfords’ name specifically for Trade Credit orders. Once payment for your order is due, you’ll be required to pay the balance into this bank account.
For Halfords wholesale orders the details will be on your invoice.
For online orders from halfords.com or on-store, the details will be on the confirmation and reminder emails you receive from Kriya.
Please note, paying any other Halfords account back directly could mean your spending limit is placed on hold and late payment fees may apply.
We offer common business-to-business payment methods, including bank transfers and direct debits.
We determine your spending limit through a quick credit and fraud risk assessment using your business's name and address. We check various sources like Companies House, but don’t worry—this won't impact your credit score or your business’s credit rating.
To request a spending limit increase, please contact us at kriyapaymentsrisk@kriya.co. We may ask for additional information if needed to process your request.
If you miss the due date, you will receive a reminder email. Please note that late payment fees may apply if invoices remain overdue for an extended period.
If you miss the due date, you will receive a reminder email. Please note that late payment fees may apply if invoices remain overdue for an extended period.
Yes, payment can be made at any time during the payment terms.
Paying prior to the due date will free up your spending limit faster, enabling you to place more orders.
If you accidentally overpaid, email us support@kriya.co. Kriya may request additional information to process the refund quickly and efficiently.
Once Kriya has processed your cancellation or return, we will process a return in five to seven working days. In the case of a return or cancellation of an order where you have not yet paid, no refund will be made. If a return has been made the invoice will be updated before payment is needed.
Your order might be declined for one of the following reasons:
- Identification Issues: We are unable to identify your company due to insufficient information. To avoid this, please ensure you use your full legal name, date of birth and registered address.
- Outstanding Overdue Invoices: You may have overdue invoices with Kriya.
- Unsuccessful Credit Check: The credit check for your spending limit was unsuccessful.

Typically, two types of email reminders are sent out to keep you informed about repayments for your invoices:
Pre-Due Date Reminder: This reminder is sent out prior to an invoice being due to give you a heads-up and ensure you have ample time to make the payment.
Past Due Date Reminder: If an invoice has not been settled by the due date, we will send out a reminder to inform you that the payment is overdue.
These reminders are designed to help you stay on top of your payments and avoid any potential late fees or service interruptions.
If you have already paid the full invoice amount and still received a reminder, please contact Kriya at support@kriya.co with your payment receipt, and we will investigate the issue for you.
Please get in touch with Kriya’s support team on support@kriya.co to let them know and they will coordinate with Halfords to amend your payment schedule.
