The fuel filter prevents the debris and dirt from entering the engine cylinder. By regular usage the efficiency is reduced therefore, the fuel filter should be changed every 1 or 2 years. Rust can be formed by moisture and condensation, when fuel is added so it is better to change the filter periodically so you have no problems with your vehicle.
