The Number Plate Fixers - Clutch Head Screws with Caps are designed to prevent plate theft and for direct use surface mounting for a number plate. Position the number plate and fix the drilling position for the screws. These should be approximately 100mm from each end of the number plate and avoid fixing over any part of the letters. Drill the number plate using a 6mm drill against a block of wood and preferably drill from the reverse side of the plate taking care to avoid any edge shatter. Using the number plate as a template, drill the mounting surface with a smaller 3mm drill. Then mount the number plate using the bolts that match the plate reflective colour. Do not over tighten, in order to allow for expansion and contraction of the plate against the body of the car.
